Healthy Relationships Facilitator –  Moose Jaw

Working closely with the HOMEBASE team, the Healthy Relationships Facilitator will work as a part of the service team at HOMEBASE Moose Jaw; a highly collaborative partnership between many agencies & organizations. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting youth ages 12-25 through the development & delivery of a healthy relationships’ curriculum. The role includes front line engagement with youth, providing one on one support & mentorship around healthy relationships, facilitating small group sessions, & fostering strong, positive relationships with young people to promote emotional wellbeing, communication skills & personal empowerment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt and deliver an engaging healthy relationships curriculum, tailored to youth ages 12-25.
  • Provide one-to-one & group support
  • Facilitate individual & small group sessions on topics related to healthy relationships, relevant to the youth in Moose Jaw.
  • Provide community outreach which may include facilitating presentations to community partners & youth participant recruitment
  • Support community engagement activities
  • Collaborate with community organizations, schools & other service providers to coordinate outreach & program delivery
  • Participate as a member of the service delivery team
  • Maintain and update documentation and statistical data as required
  • Contribute to agency-wide initiatives to advance the mission & ends of the organization
  • Support a clean, friendly & welcoming environment
  • Office administration includes answering phones, booking appointments, basic data entry & light housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth & community services available
  • Knowledge of local mental health & addictions system & community service
  • An understanding of adolescent development, healthy relationship dynamics & youth engagement practices
  • Reliable & have a strong willingness to improve the lives of youth aged 12-25
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, & interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Office 365, Word, and virtual content creation
  • Working hours will include evenings & weekends
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training when available.
  • Grade 12 education, post-secondary diploma or degree is considered an asset
  • Recent satisfactory criminal record check and a child abuse registry check
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Summer Youth Mentor –  Moose Jaw

The Summer Youth Mentor will assist in executing the summer continuation of the Shared Services Mentorship Program in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This position requires you to build relationships with youth, act as a positive role model & facilitate meaningful workshops to Youth Mentorship groups throughout the summer to students in grades 1-5. This position is 30 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement programming in various community settings in a small group setting.
  • Creating & facilitating interactive workshops for a small group of youth ages 6-11.
  • Building relationships & providing mentorship to youth referred to YMCA Mentorship Program
  • Comply with all YMCA Child Protection Policy & Procedures & complete all Child Protection training as required.
  • Communicating program success & activities to program participants, their family & through the Y network.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to build relationships & work with youth is an asset, especially those with challenging behaviours
  • Self-motivated & be able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
  • Experience & interest in working with youth

Summer Day Camp Counsellors –  Regina & Moose Jaw

Reporting to the Director of Child, Youth, & Camp Programs, the Summer Camp Counsellors support each child’s social development, personal growth, health, and well-being through engaging, inclusive programming. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with experience working with children who are interested in working 15 and 40 hours per week for the summer season, positions are available in Regina and Moose Jaw. Camp activities include a mix of physical activity, sports, arts, science, and community-based experiences.

Responsibilities:

  •  Plan, lead, and evaluate age-appropriate activities for children 4-5 and 6-12 years, following program plans set by the Summer Day Camp Program Coordinator.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports personal development, social skills, recreation, and overall well-being.
  • Actively supervise participants to ensure safety at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with campers, families, and fellow staff.
  • Serve as a positive role model and reflect the YMCA values in all interactions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe program spaces, including classrooms, activity areas, and shared spaces.
  • Support daily cleaning routines such as sanitizing equipment, tidying activity areas, and assisting with opening and closing procedures.

  • Experience working in day camps or recreational programs.

Summer Day Camp Program Coordinators –  Regina & Moose Jaw

Reporting to the Director of Child, Youth, & Camp Programs, the Summer Day Camp Program Coordinator plays a key leadership role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of YMCA Summer Day Camp programs. This position has two vacancies available in both Regina and Moose Jaw, supporting the healthy development and well-being of children and youth by ensuring high-quality, safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate programming. This role will provide day-to-day program leadership, support staff development and supervision, and ensure programs are delivered in alignment with YMCA values, policies, and standards. This is a seasonal position, with hours up to 40 hours per week during the summer season.

Camp programs serve children ages 4-5 and 6-12 years and include a range of physical activity, sport development, arts, science exploration, and community engagement experiences.

Responsibilities:

     Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Plan, coordinate, and support the daily delivery of Summer Day Camp programming in alignment with established program outlines and YMCA standards.
  • Ensure activities are inclusive, engaging, age-appropriate, and support personal, social, and physical development.
  • Monitor program quality and make adjustments as needed to meet participant needs and program goals.

    Staff Support & Development

  • Support the training, coaching, and ongoing development of Summer Day Camp Counsellors.
  • Provide on-site guidance, feedback, and problem-solving support to camp staff during daily program operations.
  • Model professional behaviour, strong leadership, and YMCA values at all times.

    Participant Safety & Well-Being

  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all campers.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and behavioural situations, following YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to YMCA Child Safeguarding & Protection Policies, including supervision standards and reporting requirements.

   Relationship Building & Connection

  • Build positive relationships with campers, families, and staff to foster trust, belonging, and engagement.
  • Support effective communication between families, counsellors, and supervisory staff as needed.
  • Represent the YMCA in a professional manner that reflects organization values and commitment to community.

Requirements
